Oh, happy day.
I began physical therapy for my hamstring injury today, and I should be back on my bike by late April. Plus, today marks the vernal equinox – the first day of Spring.
Not that winter was anything to complain about, but I'm ready for new stuff. And this town is full of new stuff...
And I'm playing at House of Bricks again tonight with that big funky band.
And it's sunny today, too.
Yeah.
The road to recovery is paved with soothing tunes...
5 hours 13 minutes 53 seconds of love flowing through the weekend; some of it's even in Portuguese. Dig.

I'm feeling better already...
The flu is terrible... and what I've forgotten is how disconnected I feel when I'm home on the couch for days. Sure, I got to watch the verdict come in live on CNN today. And I'm growing a wonderful beard.
But I'm ready to engage in something more meaningful than petting my cats while watching cable TV with a 101-degree fever.
While I've been down, I've noticed:
• Hankel did another "woe is our scene" feature
• The Young Professionals are shooting stick on Wednesday
• Terror is closing our big pool
I need to get out of the house!

Well, the Farmer Tan Funk Band has to be the most fun I've had on stage in some time, although it's never easy getting up for work on Thursday.
I want to support more bands.

Back from Blues on Grand on a Tuesday evening and just realized that half of this town's audience for live music is other musicians -- a studied and attentive audience. Still, it got my brain turning on Music Appreciation 101.
Just remember: music makes me want to move my body.
BTW, somebody named Gaskell launched a Web site today... might be worth a visit.
